AJPP and Annie put in an offer on a house yesterday so I am thinking good thoughts for them today and keeping my fingers crossed. Oh, and also being very jealous. If they can do it, we can do it! This time next year I want to OWN something damn it!
Hey everyone..... guess what? I have a new site. It will look very much the same but will be different in how it works. Go see it here! Eventually this domain (www.jennmartinelli.net) will redirect there but I wanted to have a short transition period. Maybe just a couple of days.
One more thing. Billy is a pain in the ass. Goodnight.
Holy crap I have a lot of knitting sites I wanted to link to. But a lot of stuff is going on with my page right now so I'm just going to throw them up on a separate story page, "Knitting Sites".
I would like to make just a couple of points about this movie and then I will never talk about it again.
1. People should pay attention. Thousands and thousands of people were crucified by the Roman empire. People should be upset about all of them.
2. It is pretty manipulative to use religion to create a controversial movie and make millions of dollars and then sit around acting like you're Mr. Super Christian. Maybe Mel should donate all the money to something.
3. People go to this movie, cry their eyes out, then say something deep and meaningful to the press on the way out, and proceed to go home and go about their normal lives, giving no thought to the millions of people all over the world suffering every day. Way to go, hypocrites.
OK, I'm done.
Sorry....sorry.... haven't posted in a while. I promise to catch up this weekend!
We are downtown and there are lots of crazy people out today and bothering me. People need to quit with the goth look. People need to quit with the giant 8" platform black boots. You look like idiots, folks.I have been doing tons of knitting and crocheting. I have to post pictures but we got our camera back recently from being repaired and now we have misplaced our memory cards. Oh we're pathetic. We have a low-res camera in our palm device but it doesn't take the greatest photos. Maybe for now I'll try to at least post some of those. I made my first cable-knit project! A hat.
Here is the first thing I've made that's cabled! Hooray! It's a hat for a friend's two year old. If it fits.
Well, unfortunately for all of you I had something very important to complain about last night but I didn't post it then and now I forgot it. I was really sick over the weekend for about the second time in a month. This was worse than last time though. I had a horrible cough and a fever. I could hardly take a breath without coughing and if felt like my lungs were bloody and raw. I was thinking of going to the hospital actually. But I felt much improved on Sunday, though still sick, so I'm OK. I went to work Monday and today. My voice is a little hoarse and I occasionally have a little cough but I'm better. Getting sick sucks! It made me miss my third kniting/crocheting get-together with friends. I missed one because of a blizzard, one because of being sick a few weeks ago and now this one! Now poor Rob Reed is getting sick. He has a sore throat though. He fell asleep on the couch for a few hours tonight and now is semi awake and watching TV. Heather has been yelling at us to post more often. Sorry Heather! She's right. Nothing too much else going on. Rob is doing good in school. He has lots of "good job!" comments and similar on his work so far. First test is next week. It's on Wednesday so everyone wish Rob good luck and think happy thoughts for him on March 3rd!
Oops, it's been a while since I posted. Sorry.
For all those of you who want to buy me things I'm sure you're disappointed to know that my "Buy Me Cool Stuff" link is probably kind of outdated. Not that I don't want the things there anymore, but some of the links might be dead. That's because those bastards at places like BananaRepublic.com love to move items around in weird ways such that they might still be on the site but live somewhere else so the link doesn't work anymore. Dummies. Don't they know I have a shopping list online? Ha ha.
So let's get it over with - I don't care that Janet Jackson showed her boob on TV. I think it's stupid that everyone else cares so much. Does this country get it that violence is a worse thing for kids to see than nudity? I mean let's get a grip people. Do Americans understand that in Europe there are commercials on TV with naked people in them all the time? Meanwhile here we're upset if kids might see a boobie on TV. But it's OK if they see people shot in their neighborhood. Or on TV. So dumb. There are less people getting shot in Germany. Maybe we should have more nudity on TV, not less. Ha ha.
Anyway, our camera has been getting repaired which is why I don't have more pictures posted about not only my knitting but anything else going on. It will be delivered on Monday, repaired (for free - still under warranty, thank goodness) and I'll work on getting more photos up. There was something else I wanted to talk about... what was it?
Oh, all the crazy banks merging. So Bank of America is taking over Fleet, and I recently found out that the same or similar is happening with Chase/JP Morgan (already 2 big banks merged) and BankOne. I remember when there was Bay Bank and Bank of Boston which became BankBoston. Then that was swallowed by Fleet. Then there was USTrust which was swallowed by Citizens. I think pretty soon there will only be 1 or 2 banks. It's crazy. I would complain about it but Rob has a Bank of America account online and we really like it. So I guess I don't mind Fleet going away, who I've traditionally hated when I've banked with them, and Bank of America coming in. We'll have to wait and see.
