This might seem obvious. But the reason I am pointing out that the US couldn't join the European Union isn't a geographical one. The EU doesn't let any nation join that has the death penalty on the books. I'm listening to a story about Turkey's efforts to join the EU on NPR and they had to abolish the death penalty before they would be seriously considered.
Way to go, USA.
At least that's what the AKC says. Dalmations are supposed to be naturally clean. Whatever that means. They don't mention the brown mouth smudge that comes from who knows where and gets on everything. Gross.
Anyway, here is more information about Dalmations:
The Dalmatian is a naturally clean dog who is easy to bath and groom. Daily brushing minimizes shedding.
The Dalmatian may appear snobbish with strangers, but loves his family.
The have a great sense of humor and many of them smile when happy.
It's true about the smiling. Billy's sense of humor seems to pretty much be "F-you." He must watch too much South Park.
If I don't get a big pile of money from someone or something (like, oh, the lotto) soon, I'm probably going to start killing people. So everyone should probably start wishing me the best in the monetary department. And also, just in case I don't get a big pile of money, you should probably be really nice to me, because if you're not, then you might be the first to get it.

What's going on right now
We're still working on getting settled at our new condo in East Boston. The living room paint color took four tries and we had to paint the final color twice because we screwed up the wall after the first time trying to put a shelf up. We recently discovered our kitchen sink isn't properly sealed to the counter and leaks. The garbage disposal was also leaking and getting worse. Then it fell off recently and I reattached it, after which the leaks from the disposal stopped. Good thing we're not too scared to do some home repairs ourselves. Someday I hope to decide the place is settled enough to have a long overdue housewarming party.

Many of you probably have heard Emily stories. She was a sweet and funny cat who seemed to get more personality every year. Imagine how much she had by the time she was 17 and a half years old!
