About my title photo:
Inside the Prudential Center, Boston.
Check out old title photos.
Here is an interesting article about how Boston is finally getting conventions coming to the new convention center, but a lot of people the visitors run into in the service industry in the city are being complete assholes, per the typical Boston "hospitality".
Listen, I'm as sick of all you stupid bastards who live and work here as the next person, let's acknowledge that we all hate each other, but when you work in the service industry you really have to have a modicum of pleasantness, otherwise please go do something else like work in a meat-packing plant.
It is very noticeable to me that when I travel anywhere outside of Boston people I deal with in restaurants, grocery stores, airports, cabs, etc., etc., etc., are so much more pleasant and helpful that it's amazing.
Honestly, if this city wants tourists, everybody needs to take their nice pills and calm the hell down.
Maybe you should sign the smile pledge.

That's one of the things I like about Boston...

Hey, I don't mind people not being chatty with me or ignoring me in general - I guarantee I don't want the idiot on the train next to me striking up a conversation. But for instance the cashier at the grocery store should, I don't know, look at me and acknowledge my presence as a member of the human species while she's taking my money. That sort of thing.

First, check my

Tip: Check around for better pricing. Amazon's pricing is usually good, but not always the best available.
A quick Froogle search can't hurt.
