Emily the cat
Emily is 12 years old. She is a very sweet cat but she is also very needy and crazy. She can never seem to calm down. When you're not giving her attention she desperately wants it. When you give her attention she wants you to give her less attention. She can't wait to climb in your lap but doesn't want you to pick her up. She's very crazy.
She also doesn't get along with [[bio-billy Billy]] very well. She likes to provoke him and he likes to snarl and bark at her. It's very annoying. Stop it you two!
But she did copy [[bio-billy Billy]] as she recently took up sleeping under the covers in bed with us, which Billy has always done. She's been less insistent lately, but I often wake up to her climbing all over me trying to get under the covers.

What's going on right now
I swear, someday we will be done fixing things and moving in. Maybe before our 2 year anniversary of moving in, which will be December 31, 2011. For pete's sake. I hope so. I made a Homeownership category on this blog but it is woefully out of date. I will try to keep it current, though. The process of fixing things and putting things where they belong continues.
We adopted two kitties from the Animal Rescue League of Boston in the fall of 2010. Molly is a sweet black and white/piebald kitty who was found on the streets as a stray. Katie is a torbie/Maine Coon who was confiscated in a hoarding case where there were 98 cats total. Both are great in their own way. Hopefully at some point they will realize that about each other. Every once in a while I catch them grooming each other nicely but usually they are tackling each other. Or, rather, Katie is tackling Molly and Molly is hissing and smacking the hell out of her. Katie is not quite a year old so she has to outgrow some kitten tendencies. Hopefully as she mellows they can become better friends.

Many of you probably have heard Emily stories. She was a sweet and funny cat who seemed to get more personality every year. Imagine how much she had by the time she was 17 and a half years old!
