Listen folks, I'm angry about a lot of things lately.
I won't torture my fellow animal lovers with any links but because we have recently lost all our furry pets (our turtle Bridget is still going strong) I'm especially prone to do things like go to petfinder.com and visit various animal rescue websites etc. and mostly all they do is make me cry or make me want to murder people for being cruel to animals. Honestly, as anyone who's been reading for a while might know, I hold basically any animal in higher regard than any human being in the general population. If you can't imagine why, here are just a few reasons:
If you still don't understand my feelings, please leave now and don't come back. Seriously, there is no reason for you to continue here. You and I don't get along and even though I haven't met you, I'm pretty sure I hate you. Eff off.
You might get your turtle tank and filter completely clean, but in the morning you will feel shaky and weak and have to ingest large amounts of sugar ASAP.
You are likely to make poor decisions such as wearing your chinos with the tattered hems to work.
Around 3pm you will wish you were dead.
Many are the reasons to hate comcast. Not the least of which is, they are a virtual monopoly. Way back in the day when we lived in Charlestown, the one silver lining to that shitty apartment was that we were allowed to install a satellite dish, and thus we had the glory of DirecTV for almost 2 entire years. Guess what? Despite the fact that things like storms can supposedly affect reception, we got better service with less interruption there than we have ever gotten from cable ever. Ever.
Today I have an installation scheduled for our condo. The guy is due to show up between 4pm and 8pm. I am nervous because I'm not sure where the hell he's going to string the cable to get it into our unit. I'm trying to believe them when they say, "Oh, don't sorry, the cabling guys are great, they know just what to do." I'm trying to ignore the fact that they can't tie into my existing cable line from Comcast because I still need Comcast for internet access, unfortunately. I'm trying to believe.
By 8pm I will either be soooooo happy, or I'll be looking for things to throw and break.
Look a this really cute green and white bathing suit Lands' End decided to send me by email today!
Plus, there's a sale. Wow, wouldn't it be nice if I had my 14-year-old body (like the grown woman in this picture does) so I could actually wear that?
Ah, reality. You asshole.
Next topic. You know what movie is wicked upsetting? This one:
Rob and I watched this last night. I mean, obviously we know the subject and that it's not going to be all light-hearted or anything. But it's a little heavy on the cannibalism and flashbacks to Charlize Theron wishing she was dead. I'm just saying, if you watch it you might want to follow it up with, oh, So You Think You Can Dance or something like that. Which is what we did.
But just a quick update. Last week was wicked crazy at work, and this week I'm officially on vacation, so while at the moment we're still in The Hub we might do a small trip or two before I'm back at work next Tuesday.
Needless to say I'm at the computer less right now. But I'll try to post some updates anyway. Maybe we'll get some more photos organized and I can share some of those with you.

Sorry, I was catching hell from people for my site being down. It's back.
I don't have anything interesting to say right at this moment, but I'll try to come up with some gems.
Anna Nicole Smith died. I think I know what she died from based on this picture. Sun exposure.
Here is her site.
And apparently her death is still a mystery.
I personally miss the fatter Anna Nicole from when she had her reality show. She'd lay around on her couch eating donettes and drinking chocolate milk. I think she was happier. She might have lived longer that way.
I totally suck ass at posting for like the last week or two. I don't really have any good excuse. I've been pretty busy, but I'm never not busy. I promise to be good and post regularly again, starting with some kind of catch up post tonight.
To serve all you readers out there (OK, really to serve myself somewhat) I finally have my little "stuff" category over on the left hand side where I'll put links to stuff I have recently read, listened to, or watched - and some less recent but favorite stuff too. If you buy any of them by clicking on the link, I get a tiny percentage from Amazon. Isn't that nice? Don't you want to give me 45 cents? Only if you're going to buy it anyway. Why not?
But also, I'm a nerd and I just think it's fun to update that stuff anyway, with the little images and stuff, and also, you may often notice by what I have up there that I really am a NERD. Case in point, the first DVDs I post? Battlestar Galactica. Oh yeah. That's bordering on Sysiphous or however the hell you spell it (you Smithies know what I'm talking about). But I don't care. I like science fiction and as proof I have most of the original Star Wars trilogy memorized and can recite dialogue along with the movie.
Of course this is also true of The Sound of Music. But I think that's only further proof of nerdiness.
OK, before I disgust everyone I'm going to end this now. The point is just to tell you that if you want to know what I recommend for books, music, or DVDs, you can check the left hand column of my blog.
OK, so I link to this in my sidebar, but anyway, this is just the funniest thing ever on this site:
But I'm back!
And I have many things to tell you about... just off the top of my head, these things include:
OK kids, I'll get to those soon. Also I have a new comments system, I have to approve them now. This means no annoying decoding of symbols for you, and no spam comment posts for me. Hooray!
