About my title photo:
Fall pumpkins in Northampton, MA.
Check out old title photos.
And wagons! Here is Hester on Sunday at a roadside stand selling mostly pumpkins and also gourds and "indian corn" (that's what I grew up calling it).

Just a couple of cute photos for today of Hester trying her first lemonade...

and her first coffee!

No just kidding. Nobody is giving her coffee on purpose but apparently she is a caffeine fiend in the making. Both while I was visiting them during their trip to the Cape and again recently, unbeknownst to the adults in the general area, Hester took sips of a couple of varieties of iced coffee from a straw and declared "Yum!"
She's hilarious.
I've been feeling very hateful this week toward a lot of things, so to bring the hate level down on my blog somewhat, I thought I'd just put up a couple of pictures from Labor Day when I got to hang out in the afternoon with Hester and Clementine.

First, Hester and I posed on Yawkey Way...

... and later we rested after some fun at the playground near our apartment.
Thanks for a very fun afternoon ladies!
I just had to take 30 seconds to put these up because Clementine freaking made my day when she sent me these photos of Hester playing with a daycare friend's dolly and pony.
Clementine said when she saw her interest in the pony she thought of me right away. We have a running joke from college about how I loved ponies and unicorns when I was a little girl whereas Clementine most decidedly did NOT. I told her when Hester was born that she was going to love ponies too.
Excellent. (Mouse over photos for comments.)

Hester seems suspicious of the party hat I'm wearing. It's actually hers but she was not impressed with wearing it herself, so I got to try it out at her birthday party on Sunday.
Happy First Birthday Hester! I love you!
(Please note the UNICORN SHIRT I am wearing. Thanks Clementine!)
Today is the day Clementine and Petunia finalize Hester Willa's adoption in court. It's a day of some mixed emotions, but I'm so happy for them to finish this process and legally be a family, though of course they have been already for so long.

Congrats Clementine, Petunia, and my little Hester!
I got a nice note from Hester Willa today:
Dear Auntie Jenny,
I'm sorry I missed your visit! I swear, my moms
make me so tired. They jabber on at me all day
long and I finally have to crash to avoid all
the crazy faces they make at me. A baby can
only take so much, you know?
ANYWHO, thank you for the cute sweater vest!
Mama says that sweater vests are dorky, but
I like it. The color makes my eyes pop, which
is rad. I'm glad I finally have something cute
to team with my cream owl pants. Thanks again
for the sweet and thoughtful gift!
Also, don't worry: If I'd been awake when you
were here I would have puked on you for sure.
I got Auntie Y. last night TWICE--hee hee hee
hee hee! I love making everyone scramble for
dry land--keeps 'em on their toes. I'll catch
you next time, though--be sure to bring your
slicker!
Kisses!
love,
Hester Willa
I'll have to request a photo in the allegedly dorky but actually totally cute and hip sweater vest so everyone can see it.
Thanks for stopping by!

Really?
Thanks, very nice of you.
First, check my
and there's no need to worry that I already have it or won't use it.
Tip: Check around for better pricing. Amazon's pricing is usually good, but not always the best available.
A quick Froogle search can't hurt.
