Nerd alert.

I took a book quiz and got this interesting result:

You're Watership Down!
by Richard Adams
Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.
Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.

Especially interesting because I've never even read this book, though I understand that I should have. I used to read constantly. Why am I so severely lacking in my reading of so many of the classics? Well, whenever it comes up I blame the whole going to high school in Ohio thing.

I like the part where it says "You might be one of the greatest people of all time." Ha ha.

Total Crafty Nerdiness Alert

OK, so I saw this, and that's all it took for my true craft-making nerd self to come out. Not that it isn't often out anyway.

But truly, you must be a nerd if you get excited about a random wikihow article on making a random ring and think to yourself, "I really need to go to a bead store and get some supplies." Especially if you've never really made anything at all in this realm of crafts before. Maybe while I have exactly zero extra time in my life I should stick to the crafts I'm already obsessed and actively engaged with. Yep, probably a good idea.

However, when I retire young after making my first million, I would like to spend all my time adding other crafts to my repertoire, such as:

  • Sewing
  • Jewelry making
  • Quilting
  • Ceramics
  • Gardening (not really a craft, but I'd love to have a garden with lovely flowers like Peonies and Hydrangea and Lilac... I'm sure it makes no sense to have those 3 flowers together and I know nothing about anything... I'm just saying...)

And if I could get access to it, what about glass-blowing? That would be pretty awesome I bet.

And, while they don't qualify as crafts, I would also like to get back to:

  • Oil painting
  • Photography, ie: processing my own photos

And in the meantime, I need to get better at drawing and animating on the computer because I think it would be super fun to publish my own cartoons online. As some of you know, on family vacations especially, I famously document all the "fun" by drawing cartoons. I want to get them all re drawn on the computer eventually and save them for posterity. There are some priceless gems from when my brothers were younger that really can't be missed.

Thanks for stopping by!

Really?

Thanks, very nice of you.

First, check my

Amazon.com wishlist

and there's no need to worry that I already have it or won't use it.

Tip: Check around for better pricing. Amazon's pricing is usually good, but not always the best available.

A quick Froogle search can't hurt.
