Locked up abroad
I don't know how many of you may have every watched this show but for some reason we've gotten sucked in and watched it a bunch of times. The overall lesson, which I think is a pretty obvious one if you watch even one episode, or even part of one episode, is this: don't smuggle drugs. I'm sure to many of you this seems obvious, but apparently it is not so easy for everyone to understand. Here's another tip: being pregnant does not absolve you of drug smuggling crimes. You could avoid all of this by not smuggling drugs.
Again, if you don't smuggle drugs you won't get sentenced to life in prison in Laos for SMUGGLING DRUGS.
SIGH. Do I have to explain everything to you people?

What's going on right now
I swear, someday we will be done fixing things and moving in. Maybe before our 2 year anniversary of moving in, which will be December 31, 2011. For pete's sake. I hope so. I made a Homeownership category on this blog but it is woefully out of date. I will try to keep it current, though. The process of fixing things and putting things where they belong continues.
We adopted two kitties from the Animal Rescue League of Boston in the fall of 2010. Molly is a sweet black and white/piebald kitty who was found on the streets as a stray. Katie is a torbie/Maine Coon who was confiscated in a hoarding case where there were 98 cats total. Both are great in their own way. Hopefully at some point they will realize that about each other. Every once in a while I catch them grooming each other nicely but usually they are tackling each other. Or, rather, Katie is tackling Molly and Molly is hissing and smacking the hell out of her. Katie is not quite a year old so she has to outgrow some kitten tendencies. Hopefully as she mellows they can become better friends.

Many of you probably have heard Emily stories. She was a sweet and funny cat who seemed to get more personality every year. Imagine how much she had by the time she was 17 and a half years old!
