It seems quite obvious to me. It is not mean or bad of dogs and cats to eat meat. It is what they are supposed to do. It is natural. If you personally want to abstain from meat or even from all animal products, I don't agree with your logic, but you can go right ahead, it doesn't hurt you as long as you get the nutrients you need from your diet. Your pet, however, needs meat.

Air Force bans pit bulls and several other dog breeds

To be fair, I'm highlighting pit bulls because they seem to be the most picked on breed currently, but I find it equally unfair for all the other banned breeds.

Hey air force, how about you ban stupid fucking people? That would actually solve problems for you. But you're not interested in solving problems. I'm not sure what you're interested in, but it must not be preventing dog bites or dog behavior issues.

I run out of words to even describe why this is so dumb. I just keep arriving back at words like "dumb" and "stupid" and "idiots" and "morons".

So, way to reach for the stars. Good job, US military, in making dumb rules that solve no problems and just cause families to have to give up beloved pets for no reason at all.

But check out this CNN video of a sweet older lady in Alabama. As she's showing CNN around her destroyed home, one of her three cats (the only one that went missing in the tornado) comes strolling up, a little raggedy but happy to see mom. He had been missing about a month.

Just try not to cry. I failed. It's a really sweet moment when kitty's mom declares "I have everything in the world now."

Also, if that's not enough, how about the story of this dog who crawled home on two broken legs? For pete's sake, what are you trying to do to me, animals?

This dog is getting free care from an area vet and lots of love at the local shelter. His family currently has no home to take him back to and it's unclear what their plans are, but he is safe and loved.

The smarter than a squirrel reference is about cats. We saw a show on TV a while ago ranking the world's top 10 smartest animals and while dogs and squirrels made the cut, housecats did not. We frequently reference this fact with our kitties.

It started right about the time we brought Katie the kitten into the household.

The vet at the animal rescue league deduced that she might be having a flare-up due to the stress of Katie's arrival. However, after a long time of no change after we tried treating with Lysine, I scheduled an appointment.

Heather, from whom we often demand "free vet advice" said possibly Molly has another issue going on like a bacterial infection which is making her immune system weak and causing ther herpes to flare up. Hopefully the vet can find something and treat it so she can go back to her healthy self.

She is eating and drinking normally, and being "herself", but obviously we don't want her having 20 sneezing fits a day and I'm sure she'd like to be able to take a deep breath through her nose. Poor kitty!

However, we have been joking for a while that Molly might be allergic to Katie. Then I made the mistake of googling that last night and the internet told me it was possible. Dear universe: please don't make our cat allergic to our other cat. Thank you.
