Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels.

Questions about my new weblog platform?...
Glad you asked. It's a super awesome new platform for creating weblogs or any other dynamic site created by my genius boyfriend Rob (robreed at gmail dot com). Email him and tell him how awesome he is.
Why you should visit this site regularly
Because I'm right about everything. If you disagree, I don't care.
What's going on right now
I swear, someday we will be done fixing things and moving in. Seems like every time we start something we find an unanticipated problem. And it's hard to find the time to work on this stuff. I made a Homeownership category on this blog but it is woefully out of date. I will try to keep it current, though. The process of fixing things and putting things where they belong continues.
We adopted two kitties from the Animal Rescue League of Boston in the fall of 2010. Molly is a sweet black and white/piebald kitty who was found on the streets as a stray. Katie is a torbie/Maine Coon who was confiscated in a hoarding case where there were 98 cats total. Both are great in their own way. Molly loves to cuddle like no cat I have ever known. She would rather be carried around like a baby or sleeping in your lap literally every second of her life than anything else. She's also a heat-seeker and regularly tries to march around on the stove while we are cooking. Don't worry, we keep a careful watch on her.
Katie is now enormous. When she stretches out she spans the entire width of our dining table. She still has a lot of kitten type energy and likes to play a lot. Luckily she easily makes a game out of a lot of things. Unfortunately, one of those things is our blinds. Which will need to be replaced. Her favorite toy in the universe is a plastic drinking straw. She literally goes crazy for them.
In Memory of Billy the dog
Best.Dog.Ever. 1995-2009.
Many of you knew or knew of Billy. We miss him a lot but his memory lives on, especially thanks to this blog.
Many of you probably have heard Emily stories. She was a sweet and funny cat who seemed to get more personality every year. Imagine how much she had by the time she was 17 and a half years old!
