Quote just now on the score a Chinese gymnast received for her balance beam routine:
That's a high score, higher than her qualification score. Too high.
Apparently that's it though. Everyone just moves on, the Chinese gymnasts keep magically always getting "too high" scores and that's fine.
I think our next Olympics should be in Russia and the non-Russian competitors can show up all bruised and beat up and insist "nothing happened" to them.
Why do I care? Because I really hate cheating.
robreed just told me that Michael Phelps gets to eat (has a goal to eat) 10,000 calories a day and that he eats whatever the hell he wants.
Oops, should have been a professional swimmer. I guess the odds were already stacked against me when I couldn't even swim well enough to save my life until I was like 9 years old.
SIGH.
I will add to this post later but the short story is, robreed, Heather Rose and I went on a bike ride yesterday, the end of which culminated with Heather getting sideswiped by a truck near Central Square. Luckily she and her bike were relatively unscathed but it was very uncool. Below is a map of the ride. Click around to learn more!
(Actually, because of the level of detail you might just want to click on the "View Larger Map" link below.)
I know no one can possibly think that, right?
Why would anyone think Sox fans, Patriots fans or Celtics fans were total and complete douchebags?
I have no earthly idea.
Seriously, folks, we're all class all the time. Check out Heather's post about the wonderful "celebrating" that people did outside her building last night, and then be sure to check out her Youtube video of how apparently every single car in the city last night felt the need to constantly blow their horn. This is also a type of "celebration" apparently.
This type of stuff reminds me of all the nice things about living way the fuck out in the middle of nowhere.
Click on the photo of me below to see a gallery of photos I took at the game. Other people had better cameras (I had to borrow one from work because we're between cameras right now) and therefore I'm sure, better pictures. In fact I stole this one from one of them. I'll try to get some more posted soon.
So a crazy thing happened this week. On Thursday, 4 tickets to ridiculously good seats at Fenway were given to a friend at work, and so tonight the four of us were here:

It was so cool we barely knew what to do with ourselves.
Check out robreed's coverage of last night's game.
I'm not really a big sports person, as you probably know if you know me, but I do usually like to watch playoffs etc. This game was CRAZY.
Good thing I at least tied for first in my pool at work now, because otherwise I'd be wicked pissed! Well, I'm still kind of pissed but less so than I would be if they just screwed me out of all the money.
Bastards!
I'm watching the finals here and Kansas just tied Memphis and it went into overtime. Memphis, what are you doing to me?
Rose, I'm pissed at you for your gummy bear indiscretions.
Thanks for stopping by!

Really?
Thanks, very nice of you.
First, check my

A quick Froogle search can't hurt.
